This week's tonic: Lawrence O'Donnell: "We now know who the star witness in the Trump docs case will be"
MSNBC’s super awesome host Lawrence O’Donnell analyzes a new superseding indictment filed by Special Counsel Jack Smith in the Mar-A-Lago classified documents case this week, including new details about Donald Trump’s co-defendants Walter Nauta and Carlos De Oliveira trying and failing to get security camera footage deleted.
Most of us don't follow the minutia of the case, but O'Donnell in this video takes us through the actions of co-conspirators and Trump employees Nauta and De Oliveira, on Donald Trump's orders, to try to convince the I.T. guy, also known as Employee #4, at Mar-A-Lago to delete all security videos that showed them moving boxes of classified documents around the property, in defiance of a subpoena and in a criminal attempt to obstruct justice.
At around 9:50 in this video, O'Donnell clearly describes the moment when unidentified Employee #4 at Mar-A-Lago, rather than commit a crime for "the boss" like Nauta and De Oliveira were seemingly willing to do (and are now charged along with Trump for those actions), refused to go along with the criminal conspiracy and that refusal led to many of the charges we see today.
Minutes later, O'Donnell hilariously suggests that when Trump found out from De Oliveira the bad news about Employee #4's refusal, that's also when Trump realized "he had hired the wrong I.T. guy at Mar-A-Lago...someone who would not commit the crime that Donald Trump and Walt Nauta and Carlos De Oliveira are now accused of urging him to commit."
"It didn't matter to Trump Employee #4 that the boss wanted the server deleted, and so (he) is not a co-defendant in the indictment...His next appointment with history is when he raises his right hand to take his oath as a star prosecution witness in the case of United States of America versus Donald J. Trump, Walt T. Nauta and Carlos De Oliveira."
When criminal activity as grievous as this, when such disregard for the law is on so full display for so many years including in this case, to see those criminals charged and facing justice as Trump and his co-conspirator lemmings are now facing, it brings solace to the hearts of the just. It means maybe, just maybe, justice will finally prevail over the evil idiot criminal called Donald Trump.
The case continues in the months ahead.

Today's tonic: "Canada’s conservative rage farmers get a taste of their own crop," by Max Fawcett
"Farmers aren’t usually caught off guard when it comes time to harvest the
crops they’ve dutifully planted and fertilized. But some of the
prominent conservative pundits who have spent years farming rage against
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau seem genuinely surprised by the latest ugly outburst
against him in Belleville, Ont., last week, one that included
antisemitic slurs and accusations of pedophilia and treason. Who knew
that reaping what you’ve sown could be so much trouble?"
