#alcohol has been classified as a Group 1 carcinogen for decades, the more alcohol you drink the more #cancer you can get.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.  We've always known alcohol is bad for us.  The new recommendation from the group that advises the government on safe consumption is two drinks a week (both men and women) or you're looking at increasingly bad health risks.  

There has been a lot of cancer in my family, including an aunt who was otherwise completely healthy, fit and active, never smoked, but died horribly this year thanks to cancer.  Had she known those frequent glasses of wine were the equivalent of a pack of cigarettes a day, she might've cut down considerably and saved herself many years.  

We have been lied to by industry looking to make a buck from something that is poisonous to our bodies.  I'm glad some health professionals are finally and bravely informing the public about this.
